With beautiful water views along the scenic Sunrise trail, this weekly gathering at the renovated circa 1870 Merigomish Schoolhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere and historic site to enjoy local food, arts, music and conversation. Join us!

The Schoolhouse Marketplace is an accredited member of Farmers Markets of Nova Scotia cooperative since 2019. Our rural location provides a fantastic venue for local farmers, chefs, artisans, and crafts people to engage in community and reach the travelling public.

Vendors bring a variety of local goods including seasonal garden produce, fresh baking fruit & veggie preserves, frozen treats, and interesting assortments of local arts & crafts.

There is a heritage kiosk presenting historical information about Merigomish and surrounding area and a Pictou County Playbox filled with games for the kids to play outside.

You can also enjoy a scenic walk about the neighborhood along the shore.
