Welcome to our nursery and orchard!

Exotic Fruit Nursery is a small and unique homebased nursery located on 33 sunny acres just outside the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Our large greenhouse houses a fruit forest of around 100 unusual trees and bushes. It is part of a new homestead nestled between the perfectly rounded drumhills of the Lunenburg area with an off-grid tiny home attached to the greenhouse by a breezeway, a sunroom for workshops, ponds, orchard and outside sitting area for tasting events.

The nursery specializes in growing and selling of unusual fruiting plants and carries a range of varieties from cold hardy paw paws and persimmons to speciality nut trees and delicious figs.

We also offer botanical tours through the greenhouse and orchard. Come for a leisure stroll and learn about greenhouse building, off-grid living and the many exciting plants we are growing. We also offer workshops on other farm – and sustainability-related topics as well as tasting events in the summer and fall season.

Tours are by appointment and the greenhouse is available for photoshoot bookings.

Another treat is our wee little gift shop that offers an array of plant and fruit related treasures from homemade jewellery incorporating beautiful glass fruit to organic dried fruit and tea blends and plant care products.

If you would like to stay for a while or even one night, our guest studio is a great place to relax. Adjacent to the nursery and only a quick walk to the ocean, this serene private suite is nestled above the lovely meadows and forests of our acreage and looks over the organic orchard and rolling hills. It is equipped with internet, full kitchen/bath and has a large secluded patio.
