Overview

The stately, historic Mahone Bay Bed & Breakfast is in the heart of the charming seaside town of Mahone Bay on the South Shore region of Nova Scotia. The original, Georgian-style house was built by Benjamin Tanner in 1860, and in 1862 was purchased by George Westhaver, who owned the block-and-tackle factory across the street. The workmen in his oar factory had the skill to create the spindle and curves for the eye-catching veranda upon which our guests can now relax and enjoy, on white wicker chairs, spectacular views of the town gazebo, the ocean and the famous Three Churches.

Our bed and breakfast, displaying authentic heirloom Georgian antiques and art, is considered to be the centre of Mahone Bay. From here you can walk to cafés, restaurants, galleries, shops, access kayaking and bike rentals, as well as hiking trails. Enjoy beautiful views of the bay from our wraparound veranda (featured in the film “The Pilot’s Wife”).

Our accommodations include four air-conditioned rooms with twin and queen-sized bed with two private and two ensuite 3-piece (shower) and 4-piece baths. Cable television, hairdryer and robes are included. A full, delicious breakfast is served in our elegant dining room.

Visa and MasterCard are accepted.

Cancellation policy: Must cancel 7 days prior to day of arrival.
