Overview

Discover the impact of the „new“ education system on our province! The effects of the 1864 Education Act and the improvements in teacher training are explored in this one-room common school located on the former Nova Scotia Teachers College campus.

The archives contain records of students of the Normal School-Teachers College. Volunteers are happy to assist genealogists in locating records of their ancestors.

Summer hours: June 1 to August 31, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 am – 5 pmWinter hours: September 1 to May 31, Wednesdays, 10 am – 12 pm (or by appointment)
