Overview

If the sound of line screaming off a reel at 45+ mph is your kind of thrill then Giant Bluefin Tuna fishing in Nova Scotia is for you.

Waleaha Bluefin Tuna Charters sets sail from the scenic port of Ballantyne’s Cove, located near the town of Antigonish on the Northumberland Shore, in search of Giant Bluefun Tuna. Weighing an average of 800 – 900 lb. each, Giant Bluefin Tuna are abundant in the waters off Nova Scotia.  Bluefun Tuna fishing has been described as the best sport fishing in North America, attracting sport fisherman from all over the world.

In 1979, the overall world record for Giant Bluefin Tuna was set by Ken Fraser when he landed a 1,496 pounder. Since then, multiple other world records have been broken the same area along the Northumberland Strait where you will cast your line.

Our boat is certified by the Canadian Coast Guard and we use our own customized rods, reels and high quality tackle (IGFA approved) to give you the highest chance of success on your fishing adventure of a lifetime.
